A university based in London is looking for a SCCM Intune Contractor to join their team.

Your new role
The role is to support the in-progress IT Asset Management project which is implementing InTune, AutoPilot, and Always On VPN. The key responsibility of the post holder will be packaging of all the University’s software apps for distribution and to do so in such a way that the requirements of ISO270001 to update these packaged frequently are easily adhered to by enabling automation of package updates.

The post holder is expected to assist the EndPoint Systems Manager with his responsibilities regarding the IT Asset Management project where possible.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Extensive experience writing and debugging Powershell scripts to run on client endpoints for installation of software packages
  • Experience with generation, collection, and digestion of installation logs from sources such as Powershell, SCCM (CMTrace), and Intune.
  • Extensive experience and competency in preparing and repackaging software for managed deployments via tools such as Intune, MECM/SCCM or similar.
  • Working knowledge of desktop and application virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V, VirtualBox, VMware Player, Thinapp, AppV, MSIX.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Intune & Microsoft Endpoint management, Including Autopilot, Desktop Analytics, Group Policy Migration, Co-Management, Hybrid Join.
  • Experience with endpoint defence technologies such as anti-virus, EDR, removable media control, application control, user rights management, patching and managed update systems such as WUFB or WSUS.
  • Experience working with source control tools such as Git, SVN, Mercurial and workflow systems such as GitHub, Atlassian products or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience and appreciation of varied endpoint hardware and associated components and their effect on application installation and performance.
  • Understanding and experience in working within an ITIL framework operational environment, especially change management practices.
  • Experience in a higher education environment.
