Your new role
As Site Engineer you will be providing setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification in an entirely safe manner, whilst maintaining appropriate site records. You will report directly to the Site Agent/ Project Manager and duties/responsibilities of the role will include as set out below:

What you'll need to succeed
Health, Safety and Environment Safety is the cornerstone . As a Site Engineer you will undertake the role of the site safety supervisor as appropriate and actively maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with Site Safety Policies/Procedures. You will ensure that all site statutory inspections are carried out and recorded on a daily/weekly basis as is specified in the procedures and as required/requested by the Site Manager. Quality The policy is to create and maintain a culture whereby everyone is continually seeking to satisfy their customers' requirements. Site Engineers will actively participate in this initiative and will provide the environment, equipment, support and monitoring to continuously promote this ideal at all levels within the company. Site Engineers will ensure that: They implement the Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and Targets. Comply as appropriate, with the processes and procedures contained within the KNET Intranet system. Suggests improvements to the systems when they become apparent. Site Work/Supervision Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations and compliance with the Company safe working practices. Assist in the preparation of construction programmes, preparation of Method Statements, Action Plans and Risk Assessments. Setting out the works. Checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings. Agreement of site measurements and records with the client’s staff. Assist in maintaining drawing files, drawing register and site filling system. Liaise with the design department to ensure updated information is always used. Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and to assist in the preparation of requisitions. Assist in the preparation of the construction completion documentation. Ensure that the works are constructed to a good quality in line with the specification and good working practice. Ensure that the required quality records are maintained. In conjunction with other site staff ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation, the company health & safety policy, procedures and safe working practices. Financial Controls Contribute to profitability on site by maximising efficient use of manpower and plant resources and minimising abortive works by ensuring good quality control. Assist in optimising the company’s commercial interests by ensuring that accurate records for variations are maintained in order to maximise returns. Communication Ensure good, honest and open lines of communication are established with STW Service Delivery operatives. Contribute to the Company’s reputation by maintaining good working relationships with the client’s on site staff ensuring the smooth running of the Contract and the development of future relationships. Reporting Produce data as required to facilitate accurate reporting for inclusion in Management Reports as requested by the site/project manager. This includes (but is not limited to) monthly SMQSE reports, Improve It reports, NCR reports, accident reports and waste returns. General Discipline It is incumbent upon all members of staff to maintain standards of discipline that accord with the Conditions of Service. It is vitally important that Site Engineers lead by example in terms of safety behaviours.
