Your new role


The Facilities Coordinator (FC) will be part of the School team. The FC will share the School’s aims for the pupils, support and contribute towards its policies of equal opportunity, behaviour management and independence skills.
The FC is the link between the service provider and the school and is responsible for supervising the security, cleaning, health and safety, heating and ventilation and general maintenance within the School premises and grounds to the standards.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • To act as COSHH Coordinator, Risk & COSHH Assessment Champion relating to Soft Services
  • Assist the Head teacher and colleagues by providing portering, handyman services managed through the Helpdesk at all times.
  • Monitor the safe and efficient operation of gas, water and electrical services, including the heating system and call the helpdesk for back-up when a failure is detected.
  • Undertake and record daily cleaning audits to monitor cleanliness of premises
  • Undertake and record weekly health and safety tours of premises
  • Review, each week, the issued help desk live event report and report events satisfactorily completed.
  • To review and report any anomaly identified in the report.
  • Report to the helpdesk, in good time, report building faults, support services delivery failures and services requests.
  • Ensure all COSHH assessments are in place and up to date and report if they are not.
  • Undertake and record weekly check of fire fighting equipment and monthly flick test
  • Attend and deliver Premises Management services on any of the school across the borough


What you'll need to succeed

  • Sound knowledge of IT systems Enjoys a challenge
  • Experience of working with people at all levels
  • Highly Organised
  • Reliable, conscientious with an eye for detail Sound problem solving abilities
  • Experience in FM COSHH Drive and enthusiasm
  • Working well with a team
  • Work systematically and energetically
