We are looking to recruit a highly skilled, qualified, hardworking, and enthusiastic Class Teachers interested in working a permanent teaching job who specialise in SEND.

Your new company

The company that you will be going to is a bespoke, special educational needs school, devoted to promoting and developing student confidence. While also forming strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. The school has an excellent pension scheme as well as annual pay progression. They also offer a third party, confidential counselling service either in person or online.
The school is seeking to appoint an inspiring Teacher who is passionate and able to make a positive contribution to the learning experiences of our students.

Experience of teaching Food Technology or Nutrition would be advantageous but is not a necessity.

Your new role

• To provide examples of good and outstanding teaching practice; including preparation and planning, classroom management and the maintenance of effective working relationships with students and colleagues
• To organise the effective deployment and direction of Teaching Assistants, within the classroom and support the development of an effective team
• To support the School Improvement Plan and contribute to the strategic vision of the Head Teacher and Governors
• To participate in meetings which relate to the school’s management, curriculum,
• administration or organisation
• To communicate and co-operate with specialists from outside agencies to provide an effective
• To ensure that effective communication is maintained with parents/carers about their child’s welfare, progress and participation in our school
.

What you'll need to succeed

• Have experience of working with children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)/Social Communication and Interaction Difficulties (SCID) (this is an advantage but is not essential)
• Have the ability to use ICT effectively to support teaching and learning
• Have an enthusiastic, imaginative and caring approach to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Be able to work as part of a team and build positive relationships
• Have high expectations of pupils’ achievements relating to learning, independence and behaviour
• Have the ability to build positive relationships with students

You will also need to undergo our Hays compliance which include satisfactory DfE references and a full DBS.
