Office Supervisor

Hays are privileged to be working with a well known company based in Bromsgrove in the recruitment of an Office Supervisor.

Your new role

This is a full time position where you will oversee and line manage the systems team to ensure tasks are completed. Some of your duties include...

  • Provide line management for all members of the team.
  • Monitor staffing levels, holiday, sickness and highlight any resource issues to the Manager.
  • Carry out 121s and PDRs for all staff.
  • Carry out interviews and recruitment processes when necessary.
  • To be an escalation point for any issues or concerns within the team or externally.
  • Provide training and support for team members and identify training requirements where necessary.
  • Ensure that the team maintains the systems and monitor the daily team workflow, reallocating work to other team members or assisting where necessary, escalating any staffing issues to the manager.
  • Identify any process issues/improvements and escalate to the manager.
  • Ensure that all workflow within the team is dealt with in accordance to agreed processes.
  • Any other reasonable request made by a Director/Manager of the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of supervising within a similar role
  • Experience within a financial services sector is desirable but not essential (insurance, banking etc)
  • Previous experience of coaching and supporting team members
  • Previous experience of training staff
  • Effective organisational and planning skills
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Experienced using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Delivery focused, with a drive for quality throughout
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have a keen eye for detail
  • Willing to learn and develop
  • Able to work as part of a team, or if required, under your own initiative
