Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, to recruit a Project Manager (Major Adaptations) on an ongoing temporary contract basis to work from their offices in either Derry or Ballymena.

Your new role
You will have responsibility for overseeing the delivery of Major Adaptations projects which will include:

Managing in-house construction professionals including Clerk of Works and Mechanical & Electrical Inspectors; Appointing and managing external professional consultants;
Administering JCT contracts and NEC3 Short Contract for planned maintenance contracts;
Performance managing construction works monitoring KPI and applying Low Performance Damages as required under the contract;
Chairing various meetings at various stages of the contract;
Monitoring the performance of external contractors and consultants.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Building / Construction / Technical Discipline plus 2 years' relevant experience as outlined above, or;
Possess a relevant BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma or qualification of an equivalent academic level plus 3 years' relevant experience in Building / Construction as outlined above.

Additionally, you must possess:

Experience working as a Project Manager under NEC3 / NEC4 conditions of contract;
Experience of managing project delivery and technical competent in respect of refurbishment of and extensions to social housing;
Experience of maintaining and updating all requisite project information on a bespoke database.
