Accounts Assistant

Your new company
You will be joining a global Insurance Broker as their Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of their Cost Control & Reporting team, you will report into the AP Manager and be part of a wider finance team of 40 people. This organisation can offer extensive career progression opportunities and you will have the chance to get involved in a number of company-wide projects during your time there. Based from their London office 3 days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining 2 days
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for month-end journals/reconciliation, coding and processing invoices, ad-hoc project work, reviewing the submission of expenses, preparing and submitting balance sheet reconciliations and booking journals to recognise accounting events.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a corporate environment. You will have strong collaboration skills and be a great team player. You will be actively studying towards, or keen to begin studying towards a further Accountancy qualification such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA. You will have strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables and SUMIFs) and be confident with the use of Accounting systems such as Concur, Proactis and SUN.
