You will be working for a forward-thinking Charity with sites spread across both Cheltenham and Gloucester. Your new company specialised in the enabling of adults with disabilities, complex needs and mental health conditions, to live an independent efficacious life regardless of disability. Recognised to be one of the leading centres in the local market this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career and build upon your experience within the sector. Your new company main site is currently based in Cheltenham town centre with several locations spread across the Cheltenham and Gloucester areas. You will be working across their Gloucester/Cheltenham sites overseeing the daily running of each service reporting to the Chief executive.

Your new role
  • Be an inspirational leader and role model, supporting your team of committed care and support workers to always deliver exceptional care
  • Provide a high quality, homely living environment for students with physical and learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. They all have big personalities and even bigger ambitions to live life as independently as possible!
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure care plans are followed, whilst seeking to continuously improve quality.
  • Monitor the needs of individuals on a regular basis and where necessary liaise with other professionals to find suitable additional services or alternative accommodation when this is indicated
  • Ensure that the services meet the requirements of CQC, the Local Authority and any other relevant bodies as required
  • Participate in discussions and meetings that relate to the future of the Charity as a whole

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Level 5 qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential care
  • Minimum of 1 years management experience at a senior level which includes staff management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Social Care Act 2008
  • Excellent level of verbal and written communication skills and numerical skills
  • Experience in dealing with Challenging behaviours
  • Motivated to support young people with disabilities to maximise their potential.
  • Knowledge of Domiciliary Care – company will be looking to expand this division
