We are supporting one of the world's largest online retailers with over 100 years of experience. A new position of communications and engagement manager has been created to provide a new internal communications strategy across 600 UK employees working in various functions, including Marketing and Creative, Customer Experience, Warehousing and Logistics, Financial Services, Transformation, Buying and Merchandising, IT and Support Services.

The role

Will lead the conversation, proactively conveying news and information to a diverse workforce through various mediums. The role will also drive engagement by planning and conducting company and social events.

• Design and deliver an effective internal communications strategy and engagement plan.
• Enhance our employment brand and employee value proposition using our website and social media.
• Produce engaging and creative communication content - tailored to the audience and delivered via suitable channels.
• Organise companywide events such as staff conferences and take a lead role in our internal engagement group to devise and organise social and charity occasions.
• Proactively engage with individuals and teams at all levels to elicit news and information items to share with the business.
• Drive the employee engagement survey. Establish and manage feedback loops to get the thoughts and opinions of our people.
• Work effectively with our creative and marketing departments to ensure consistency of both branding and voice across all communications.

Experience

• Excellent planning and organising skills including the ability to manage projects.
• Previously held a communications role for a busy and dynamic organisation.
• A background of creating and implementing internal communication plans
