Our global logistics company are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to support the opening of a new South Leicestershire site.

Your new role
Reporting into the Head of HR this is a great opportunity to be involved in the taking over of a new site of c.220 employees in an ever-growing global logistics company. Duties to include:

  • Provide first line contact on all people related issues
  • Advise and support Line Managers and the wider business when queries arise relating to Employee Relations; Recruitment & Selection; Pay & Reward and Training and Development
  • Manage and promote the Employee Benefits Programme
  • Support with employee relations issues, TUPE, training, on-boarding of new starters, restructures
  • Ensure effective monitoring of sickness trends and remedial action in accordance with policy and to facilitate a proactive approach to absence management
  • Establish a working relationship with the Trade Union and Employee Representative
  • Monitor appraisals and objectives received and follow up with Line Managers

This is a full time permanent position working 37 hours a week Monday to Friday and hybrid working is available – 2/3 days a week on site.

What you'll need to succeed
For this position we are looking for an experienced HR Advisor with a true generalist background and someone with excellent employment law knowledge; a CIPD qualification is desired or the willingness to work towards this with membership/study support. You will ideally have worked in similar industries such as manufacturing, logistics, engineering and be used to working in a fast-paced environment, preferably with prior experience working with trade unions. Any experience supporting with TUPE / Restructures is desired along with strong ER experience.

Personally you will have a ‘can do’ outcome focused attitude and approach, be resourceful and work to make things happen taking others along with them along with excellent communication skills. You will have a creative and analytical thinking style, applying tenacity in the face of obstacles and a A pro-active approach to work and problem solving.
