Hays Senior Finance are Working on behalf of a Blue-Chip supply chain business in Edinburgh as they expand operations with a Financial Analyst opportunity. Our client is a forward-thinking entrepreneurial business with a high performing culture and inquisitive nature.
Our client has 3 divisions across the group with a team of 100 based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of £36,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience. Our client recruit on the basis of potential and are open to hearing form both Qualified and Part Qualified Accountants to start their journey with them.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days a week in the office
Your new role
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing insightful MI and KPI reporting across the planning cycle. You will look to strengthen relationships with the businesses through the provision of more meaningful budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning for our commercial and operations teams. Liaising with depot managers and providing a partnering service will be high on the agenda as well as providing Month-end support and participate in projects.
You will Support the regional operations teams with financial modelling and explaining variances. Your analysis will offer performance improvements and Cost saving offering analytical review and challenge. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will encourage process improvement across business processes and will develop relationships between operations and finance.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be great at excel with strong communication skills to match. You will also have experience with financial modelling techniques to present data and provide analysis. Working in a fast paced environment you will be confident in managing relationships and projects with a variety of stakeholders and have an ambitious approach for your own development alongside the business.
