Management Accountant

Hays Senior Finance are working on behalf of an established FMCG business in West Lothian as they recruit for a Management Accountant. With over 60 years experience in the Trade, our client have a highly recognisable brand and a Quality approach to Manufacturing Standards. An investors in People Accredited business, our client continue to invest in manufacturing processes and process improvement techniques in the industry and they are now looking to recruit an Experienced Management Accountant based in West Lothian.
This role offers the opportunity for a progressive individual looking to develop their skills in a commercial environment. The Management Accountant will be offered a salary between £37000 - £42,000 per annum with study support offered for those currently sitting ACCA or CIMA exams.
Your new role
The Management Accountant will be part of a team of 5 working as part of a leadership team of a Financial controller and Financial Director. Working as part of a factory operation you will be responsible for the delivery of Management Accounts and variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, cost accounting and providing detail business reviews. You will work alongside a range of stakeholders, understanding manufacturing processes, budget requirements and influencing cost of sales.
The Management Accountant will work with directors and operational managers on understanding performance, stock reporting and reviewing people processes and procedures to achieve goals. You will challenge and support the business offering financial advise and guidance. You will also gain exposure to add hoc projects aswell as the BAU including month end and ledger close. This is an interactive role where finance and operations work in partnership. Having being established for many years, relationship building is key to create synergies across the functions.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be working towards the latter part of your Accounting Qualification or Qualified through experience. Experience of manufacturing processes would be ideal but non essential. Financial analysis experience and a desire to get involved with operation essential. Our client have a flat and unified structure where they welcome ideas and positive change.

You will be offered a salary of £37,000 - £42,000 plus benefits including a 37.5 hour week, 31 days holiday and standard company pension.
