Every month the CEO sets up a meeting to show the IT department what they have achieved and how the different teams have helped to have an impact on the frontline support workers and how they have helped impact the lives of hundreds of people. You will be working alongside 2 teams which are full of Infrastructure & Networking professionals but include 2 other Database Administrators who will be able to support you when settling into the role.

They also have access to Pluralsight which allows you access to over 7000 courses which can help develop your skills and knowledge, they have all courses unlocked and this will offer you the opportunity to learn a wide variety systems and other aspects within Data.

Your new role
You will work within a small team and will help test, implement, and improve the current databases which are in place. The team get regular external audits to help pick up on security improvements which they can make to the current Database. You will be communicating with Internal stakeholders who will be both Technical and non-Technical as well as contributing to team ideas and how you can continuously contribute to the improvement of the current systems which are in place.

You will be working on Azure and Sequel and will be responsible for finding faults and helping your colleagues find an elegant solution to a problem they may be having. You will be continuously working on improvements which you can make to help the organisation, and which in turn will help them save lives.

You will be working alongside 2 other Database Administrators who will be able to assist you with day-day management of the current Databases, but you will be constantly looking for ways to improve the Security and non-product Architecture.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you must have experience working on Sequel and Azure based systems and as this is what they are currently using. Because they just transitioned from AWS to Azure having this experience is essential to joining the team. This is a charitable organisation so they would like someone to join their team who is interested in making a difference and helping to impact peoples lives across the country.

Since Covid this organisation has taken to remote working so you will only be required to go onsite once a month however if you live locally then they always encourage people to come on site more often, but this is not essential, they are happy to consider candidates from anywhere in the UK, but you must be able to commute to Poole on a monthly basis.

If you have experience with SQL Server Reporting or Integration Services (SSIS & SSRS) then that would be desirable but not essential. They are looking for someone who is looking to continually develop their skills and is happy to continuously learn.
