IT Infrastructure Engineer - Canterbury

My client is currently seeking a IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their innovative IT Team. You will play a key role in maintaining infrastructure, systems and technical support across the network ensuring that the business benefits from a high network of availability.

The IT Infrastructure Engineer Role
As a IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will ensure that the reliability and security of the systems is maintained at all times. You will provide user support and helpdesk service to all users at various levels across the business. You will be required to monitor the systems performance and undertake maintenance and upgrades as required. Other duties will include:
-Undertaking active directory design and implementation
- Managing Microsoft ® and other specific desktop and server application software
-Supporting and maintaining the WAN, wireless network and VPN technologies
-Undertaking ad-hoc projects as instructed by the IT Operations Supervisor and IT Manager
-Assisting the 1st and 2nd line support team with taking calls during peak periods
What they’re looking for in IT Infrastructure Engineer
They are looking for a experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer who has strong understanding of network support specifically in cisco switches, firewall technology and scripting. You will have robust knowledge of windows servers and be confident using active directory and Microsoft Office 365. To be considered for this role you will need to be educated to A level standard or equivalent and have a MCSE/CCNA qualification or be working towards obtaining the qualification.
