Programme Manager Housing, London Borough of Camden, Kings Cross, London
£58,262 - £71,207 + benefits
Permanent, full time
To do our best for Camden, we need you. Join our new Property Management Services. Something exciting is happening in Camden. We’re launching a new Property Management Service that’s better for our borough. To take on an agenda that’s bursting with varied and interesting projects, we’ve restructured our team and created a number of senior roles.
Join a Council that cares about its people – and be part of something new. A successful Programme Manager, you’ll be part of our Capital Works Team, which handles a variety of capital and asset management programmes, from complex, long-term, multi-million pound construction investment programmes, to small projects of less than £1m each. Most of your projects will relate to Council homes, a key, high-profile area with many stakeholders.
Leading a skilled project management team, you’ll thrive on completing projects to the highest standards. Focusing on housing improvements and maintenance, you’ll deliver projects in the region of £30m-£40m. There are no ivory towers in Camden – you’ll need to be hands-on.
With this practical approach, you’ll co-ordinate capital works, manage their inter-dependencies and allocate resources. We’ll also expect you to ensure quality assurance and integrity across the whole works programme.
We’re looking for a confident expert with proven expertise. You should have good knowledge of the principles of construction programmes and project management methodologies, plus a track record in your field. Good with people, you shine in stakeholder management and community consultations. Plus, you can manage staff and consultants, handle project finances and mastermind programme delivery.
Modern, award-winning offices; career development; flexible working hours: our team enjoys all the above, as well as discounted access to on-site leisure facilities, including a swimming pool.
Join us and you’ll be free to learn and excel as part of a diverse, inclusive organisation that values equality and social justice. Our new service launches soon. Be part of something special.
