Your new role
You will be working within the civils and water treatment team as a Quantity Surveyor. You will manage the subcontractor appointment process and liaise with them independently throughout the projects. You will be involved in the preparation of tenders, cost estimates and quotations within client deadlines. In addition to this will complete cost, value and reconciliation monthly reports. The role will also involve recovering monies in accordance with contract. You will also have experience of running a project up to final accounting. You will be required to visit site at different points of the project.
What you'll need to succeed
The ability to prioritise and work within set deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and improve effective internal and external working relationships. You will hold a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline with a significant level of experience in Water or Wastewater. Ideally you will have some knowledge of Severn Trent Water process but this is not essential. The successful candidate will have strong estimating skills with negotiation experience of confirming, agreeing and pricing variations. NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge is essential as is a Full UK Driving License.
