Hays have been retained my one of the UK’s most recognised multi-disciplinary construction consultancies in their search for an experienced Quantity Surveyor. Within the market they provide advice, technical knowledge and design to a range of sectors including Healthcare, Highways & Transport, Retail, Commercial, Education and Defence. They have been established in Northern Ireland for many years and have a strong track record for delivering large-scale projects throughout the province.

Your new role

Based in their Belfast office and reporting to the Associate Director, you will assist on projects worth over £200M across the healthcare, infrastructure and commercial sectors. You will take responsibility for the cost management of these high value projects, ensuring contracts are administered correctly. As a key aspect of this position you will be expected to maintain excellent relationships and lead progress meetings with a range of clients. Your role will be to ensure that a high level of technical, financial and commercial control is maintained on all projects.

What you'll need to succeed

As a Quantity Surveyor you will have a Construction related degree ideally Quantity Surveying. It is desired that you have a full membership of RICS or working towards this. Ideally you will have an understanding of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts with extensive knowledge of working on construction projects with multiple stakeholders and have working knowledge of various forms of construction contracts.
