Your new company
A thriving specialist contractor working in the civils and highway sector are seeking a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a project based in East Midlands (battery Energy Storage, New build substation and substation extension). This position has the opportunity of temp to perm.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the successful deliver of the project whilst reporting to the Commercial manager. The works involved with vary from: 'spec and drawings', steel/clad switch room building, road, fencing, drainage and groundworks of a substation. Other duties will include: presentation of monthly CVR reports, adhering to the companies government procedures, delivering and developing margin improvement plans and subcontract ITTs, production of subcontract agreements and administration of subcontract accounts to final account.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have worked in a similar sector and completed the relevant works on a substation: Identifying, valuing and agreeing variations, including claims for Extensions of Time, acceleration and delay & disruption, resolving subcontract accounts, Internal valuations and CVRs. Access to your own vehicle is essential.
