This firm is a very well-regarded residential developer based in Surrey. They are able to buy large, important development sites and are well positioned to be the preferred bidder on most of the land that becomes available in their patch. Your new role
The role will be to work closely with the land team on sites they are reviewing as possible development sites to buy. The work will then continue advising the land team as the land is bought, through to obtaining planning consent, attending meetings such as public consultations, proposals and appeals, with planning consultants, councils etc. You will also, collaborate with architects to ensure that planning drawings fit the companyâ€™s property portfolio by reviewing draft drawings and providing comments for amendments. You will review all drawings, reports and surveys prior to pre-application and full planning submission, as well as attend pre-application meetings and represent the company.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have at least 1+ years previous experience as a Planning Manager with a residential developer and be keen for a new challenge on more interesting projects, or a Planning Consultant that advises residential development clients, or a Planning Officer with a council. A degree in Town Planning or related discipline and membership of The Royal Town Planning Institute or The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors is expected.
