Your new company
This company specialise in interior fit-out projects including dry lining, curtain walling and SFS works, they have a strong reputation within the market for delivering high quality works. They work with a majority of tier 1 main contractors across the central belt including Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stirling. In the upcoming year they have a number of projects beginning including student accommodations and residential developments, which is why they are looking to recruit to assist their current commercial team.
Your new role
This role will require you to work effectively as part of the existing commercial team on current projects as well as their new works beginning soon, you will be expected to complete your tasks with minimal assistance and to a high level. There will be an expectation that you attend site visits when required. This role will allow you to work on a verity of projects whilst reporting back to the commercial manager, you will also be working alongside their current trainee QS who you will be supporting across larger projects.
What you'll need to succeed
For you to achieve success in your role you will need minimum 3 years post-graduation experience working as a QS as well as a degree in the relevant field. The ideal candidate would have fit-out or joinery experience in a pervious role or understand these types of works to allow you to hit the ground running from your first day. It will also be expected that you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skill and a willingness to work effectively as part of the current team. There is also an expectation you are able to communicate effectively within a business setting when dealing with clients.
