Hays are proud to be partnering with Ted Wragg Multi-Academy Trust in the requirement for an experienced Head of Estates & Facilities. They have grown significantly over the last year, to 12 schools located in Exeter & Plymouth and is adapting to reflect this with a strategic focus on collaboration. You will join a highly renowned and reputable Multi-Academy Trust, that continuously strives to raise the aspirations of it's students and staff, fostering a culture of positive challenge and continual school improvement.
Your new role
This is an exciting new role to support the Trust in developing a robust estates and facilities strategy, maximising potential of the existing Trust estate to create an outstanding teaching and learning environment for students and staff, and facilities that strengthen their wider communities. You will play a pivotal part in estates management, improvement, and delivery of both soft and hard facilities services, to students, staff, and visitors.
In this strategic post, you will co-ordinate and oversee major programmes of work across the growing estate and ensure that funds are effectively used and prioritised in order to meet safe, suitable and sufficient standards and create special and inspiring spaces for learning.
You will collaboratively work with external and internal stakeholders, contractors and consultants as appropriate, to identify and drive forwards opportunities for development and enhancement of the Trustsâ€™ estate, including sales and acquisitions, leasing and letting arrangements.
Working with the Estates Project Manager, you will take the lead in overseeing the capital works budget and delivery of the annual capital works programme, as required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this post you will hold a relevant professional qualification or degree in a building or estates management discipline and NEBOSH qualification. You will hone your skills having worked at a senior level, within an estates management role in strategically planning and implementing a masterplan, whilst proactively driving your team in a productive and meaningful manner
