Your new company
You will be working for a high end house builder who are expanding their team in the Nottinghamshire region. The organisation have a reputation for innovation and producing a market leading product. With large sites across the East Midlands the continuity of work is exceptional providing long term security. Due to continued success in the market the company are looking to add a permanent Quantity Surveyor to their commercial department.
Your new role
You will be reporting to the commercial director and managing build costs, cash flows and budget financial information. You will also be responsible for fostering and continuing to build relationships with local authorities. You will also be required to deal with sub-contractors to agree contractual terms and placing orders. You will need to demonstrate both verbal and written communication skills and provide the operational team with budgets, commercial reports and estimates for inclusion in Land Appraisals. You will need to authorise payments and where required follow up missing or late payments.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will be working as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor in the residential new build sector. You will have between 4 and 5 years of experience and be able to independently run large volume plc housing developments. You will have a high level of knowledge regarding building regulations and NHBC requirements. A full UK driving license is required.
