One of our regular clients, a major bricklaying contractor who operate across the whole of the southern coast of England, require the services of a skilled freelance site manager to oversee works on a major infrastructure project in the heart of Exeter. The company, which has been operating successfully for over 20 years, offer quality brickwork solutions across a wide range of projects in the educational, commercial and residential arenas.
Your new role
Based on site in Exeter, you will be responsible for supervising gangs of bricklayers on a large but relatively straight-forward brickwork contract and duties include maintaining the site diary, undertaking site inductions, liaising with the main contractor's Project Manager, ensuring materials are available on site, producing progress reports for the visiting contracts manager and ensuring high standards of health and safety are maintained within the areas for which you are responsible.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to come from a bricklaying background and have demonstrable experience in supervising and coordinating major brickwork contracts. Current CSCS Supervisor or above, SMSTS and 1st aid certification are also prerequisites.
