A specialist subcontractor they provide services across a wide range of projects including retail, education, commercial, residential and leisure. Established for over 20 years they have gone from strength to strength and as such as seeking an Assistant /Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Projects range from £20k to £1.2m and they work with a number of main contractors, developers and public services providers.
Your new role
Working with the Project/Contract Managers and the Managing Director you will be providing support for the financial management of projects on a number of duties including:
- cash management - timely application / certification / invoicing / payment / receipts
- performing take offs
- monthly reporting and forecasting
- negotiation of variations, calculations & settlement of final accounts
What you'll need to succeed
You will either be coming from a general contracting or subcontractor environment and ideally you will have at least one years' experience as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor or be an experienced assistant as they can provide support and training. A qualification in quantity surveying would be advantageous either at HND/HNC or degree level.
What you'll get in return
You'll receive a competitive salary depending on experience of up to £40,000. A predominately office based role you will be working in a close knit supportive team.
