Experienced Construction Quality Manager required on £multimillion pound Passivhaus project in Exeter.

One of our national clients, a household name with a reputation for integrity, innovation and customer service, is looking to secure the services of an experienced Quality Manager to join the project team on a multimillion pound Passivhaus style project in the Exeter area.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, your role will involve working closely with the site team to establish and ensure the effective implementation of the Quality Management System, compliance with contract quality requirements and the compilation of records to demonstrate the conformity of the works. Because of the extremely high levels of energy efficiency required for the building's systems to function effectively, it is vital that the envelope of the building is completed to an extremely high standard of air tightness - this will be one of your primary areas of focus.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented effectively.
- Reviewing and evaluating Inspection & Test plans including those of sub-contractors prior to the commencement of work activities, as well as the ongoing monitoring of construction records.
- Reviewing acceptance criteria of completed quality record for completeness. Liaising with the clients' representative to fully integrate Project quality and handover compliance requirements.
- Assisting the Project Managers in the setting of project objectives and targets to measure and monitor quality performance.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have previous experience of working on projects that have required Passivhaus (or a high BREEAM rating) standards, carry current CSCS Supervisor or above, SMSTS and 1st aid qualifications, have an excellent understanding of construction methodology and feel comfortable challenging colleagues and subcontractors to ensure that the highest levels of quality are produced.
