NHBC has exciting opportunities for four Building Inspectors to join the team home based across London areas. Working on a full time permanent basis the successful candidates will receive a highly competitive salary of £36,000-£45,000 per annum.

This Building Inspector role is home based and due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
Central London area
South Enfield area
Based from home in or very near to one of the above areas and covering a defined geographical area, the position involves being responsible for the inspection of a range of construction projects, predominantly housing whilst contributing to the inspection of other developments and planning inspection visits to sites.
The job holder will be providing technical advice and guidance on construction, inspecting construction projects at key stages in response to requests from builders and assessing applications for construction projects.
The ideal Building Inspector
Qualified to NVQ Level 6 or equivalent in a construction related discipline with relevant construction industry experience and extensive experience of the inspection of new homes. Experience of inspecting multi-storey developments up to 7 storeys would be a distinct advantage.
Associate/Technical membership of an appropriate recognised professional institute, ideally the CIOB, RICS, CABE will be beneficial. The higher salary will be commensurate with the more qualified and experienced applicants.
You will have the ability to make pragmatic decisions and be able to work with the minimum of supervision in line with established policies and procedures. It is essential to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and to be able to prepare detailed inspection reports.
