Portfolio Coordinator - Public Sector Estate - Central London

Your new company
On behalf of our client, Hays Property & Surveying are currently recruiting for an Interim Portfolio Coordinator - PMO (Estates) overseeing a broad range of capital programmes across a large central London estate. Our client is a public sector organization and currently undergoing a programme of works, therefore needing to take on additional resources to meet their needs. This role is based in Zone 1.

Your new role
As the Interim Portfolio Coordinator - PMO (Estates), you will be responsible for offering support and enabling successful delivery of capital projects and programmes across the Estate. You will work with a number of different teams in project delivery as well as other parts of the PMO function. Your main responsibility will be to gather project and programme information, measuring progress against targets and reporting back to key stakeholders. You will meet regularly with project managers and project directors to review and challenge project performance where necessary as well as providing advice and guidance when needed. You will also be responsible for supporting the portfolio governance and assurance framework, following the project delivery handbook; risk management and engage with colleagues from the PMO and Programme Teams, enabling positive working relationships.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have relevant PMO experience, preferably in a complex construction environment. You will have a proven successful track record of working within an existing PMO function, demonstrating your ability to dynamically manage competing demands. You will be qualified in programme or project management disciplines such as PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent. Although not required, preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with RIBA stages or other construction related disciplines, as well as membership of a relevant professional body (Programme Management, CIOB, RICS etc.)
