Programme Manager This is one of the fastest growing sector in the UK at the moment and my client is leading developer in the market. Due to continued demand they are looking to add to the team further. The purpose of the position is to join the Development Team as a Programme Manager working closely with the Programme Director to deliver new retirement village developments throughout the UK with a typical construction value of £35mil.

The role. Assisting the Senior Programme Manager in developing, implementing and managing the Programme Management Office relating to Property Development projects across the organisation

  • Strategic Client-side role assisting in the implementation and management of a Programme Management Office offering a service delivery and reporting toolkit for the capital projects programme through the complete development cycle
  • Assisting in the implementation, management and reporting of the company Development Control Process (DCP), to ensure projects are approved in a timely manner to satisfy the strategic development programme
  • Assist in the identification, reporting and mitigation of key project risks
  • Assisting the coordination of Property Development Team activities
  • Coordinating programmes for the procurement of wide ranging value of projects in a timely way to suit strategic company objectives
  • Organisation of strategic programme review and development meetings
  • Maintaining current reporting position upon the Strategic Property Development Programme
  • Production of individual target project programmes showing key approval and reporting gateways
  • Coordination of project proposals and business cases for approval
  • Assisting in the management of project approval and budget allocation processAssisting in the production, management and maintaining of a suite of Best Practice and Project Controls Documentation for the Development Team
  • Assisting in internal and external audit process for Development Team
  • Development and Management of systems for the effective storage and sharing of property and construction related information
  • Management of KPls to monitor consultants and contractor's performance, recording and reporting thereon. Maintaining current supplier database
  • Development and management of various other construction and property related Management Information recording systems and reporting thereon
  • Improvement and management of systems to monitor company wide property and construction insurances
  • Assisting in the evaluation, development and implementation of a wide range of company initiatives in the property and construction sectors

You will be

Be degree qualified in a property or construction related discipline, preferably with experience in a multidisciplinary PMO environment and a desire to specialise in this area

A highly motivated self-starter with a flexible approach and comfortable with the developing the Programme Management Office in line with company strategy and requirements Experienced in planning and implementing programmes of complex, interdependent works Fully conversant with the complexities of construction legislation, construction contracts and Health & Safety legislation Able to work with clear focus, paying close attention to detail and 'closing out' issues Have the ability to use and understand financial reports and financial accounts Understanding of other property functions such as acquisition and Facilities Management Adept at working with internal and external design and project management functions Experienced in the use of data collaboration systems
